How it works

Photoaura reads the EXIF metadata your camera writes into a photo and lays it over the image as a caption — the kind you see under a shot on a photography feed.

Everything stays on your device

The photo is read, decoded, captioned, and re-encoded entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or sent anywhere. Close the tab and it’s gone.

What it reads

Aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focal length, capture date, and — where the camera records them — the camera body and lens model. Every value is editable, and you can hide any field you don’t want shown.

Which files work best

JPEGs straight from a camera or exported from Photos carry full EXIF. iPhones usually hand the browser a JPEG when you pick from your library, so those work too. If a file has no readable metadata (a screenshot, a heavily-processed export, some HEIC files), Photoaura still lets you build the caption by hand.

Sharing & saving

The button at the top does both. On a phone it opens your system share sheet — pick Save Image to send it to Photos, or hand it straight to Instagram, Messages, wherever. On desktop it downloads a JPEG.
